Join avian and bat biologist Julia Wilson for Sassafras Audubon Society’s monthly bird walk 8:00 a.m. this Saturday at Flatwoods Park! Birders of all levels are welcome and extra binoculars will be available.
Flatwoods is a great place to take a relaxing hike and see grassland species like Northern Harriers, American Kestrels, Eastern Meadowlarks, and Wild Turkeys, and it is also home to forest species like owls, woodpeckers, and thrushes. Free and open to the public. No registration required. Bring muck boots!
